In a pilot study presented at the ACT World Conference in Seattle 2016, Ben Pierce of Utah State University showed that answering a simple question several times a day could increase values-congruent actions. The question: Are you right now engaged in an action to move toward who or what is important or in an action to move away from what you don’t want to think or feel? Answering this question 3 times a day for 2 weeks may enhance the probability of toward moves by 56% and make them easier to engage. We can’t wait to hear where this line of research is going.

NOTICING WITH THE ACT MATRIX COULD HELP ACTING LIKE THE PERSON ONE WANTS TO BE.
